Hope you can come along to share a lovely relaxed afternoon of songs with us this Sunday from 12:30 – 2:30pm. Bass Espresso is a fabulous little cafe in Brisbane’s West End serving a wonderful range of hot & cold beverages (their ice-filtered coffee is a house specialty!), yummy cakes and other delights. Everyone welcome – free entry. See you there!
We are just returned from a wonderful trip to Tasmania. We started our trip at the Cygnet Folk Festival where we met up and performed to friends old and new and had an all round fun time. A special thanks to our hosts David & Anne for opening their house to our use while we were in Cygnet.
We stayed on in Tasmania for a wee road trip and spent more time eating great food and playing music with dear friends in Hobart before hitting the road proper to see the beautiful sights of the Island’s West Coast. We were both sorry to say farewell, but we look forward to a return trip in the future to catch up, play music and see more of the wonderful Island State.
Wishing all our families, friends, fans and supporters a Happy New Year and all the best for 2014.
We had a lovely Hogmanay playing at a private ceilidh as a three-piece line up of The Ceilidh Clan and “seeing in the bells”, on the way home, sitting in our van watching the fireworks over the City of Brisbane. Here’s hoping that you had a guid one yourselves.
Looking forward to seeing you around the traps in the coming year.
We are looking forward to traveling to Tasmania on the 10th of January to attend the Cygnet Folk Festival. We have two gigs booked at the festival:

We look forward to seeing you there and sharing more music together.
We hope to catch up with you in December at one of our upcoming gigs.
On Sunday 1st December we will be performing at the Christmas Bash of Folk Redlands, along side many faces of the Brisbane folk scene. It should be great fun, so come along.
Then the following weekend we will perform (on Saturday the 7th) with Mark Cryle as “Mark Cryle and the Civil Union” and then we will be travel to Maleny on the 8th to play along side our dear friends of the Wish List and Cloudstreet for “A Festival of Folk” on Sunday 8th December.
Following on from those upcoming events events, in the new year we will be having our Duo’s first sojourn to the cooler climes of beautiful Tasmania, where we are booked to play at the Cygnet Folk Festival. We are greatly looking forward to that wee adventure.
Further details of all the above events can be found on the gigs page.
We are excited and looking forward to our upcoming trip to NSW, organised by the community group Resilience Inc. We will be playing and teaching in venues around Numeralla, Cooma and Eden. Tell your friends and come along if you can!

We are just about to leave to catch a flight to Mackay, the first leg of our trip to this weekend’s Wintermoon Festival.
See you there!
We are very honoured to have been asked to join a group of talented friends to record a retrospective album of songs by local singer songwriter Mark Cryle, “I’ve Got a Heart”, which will be launched at a ‘Folk Night Extravaganza’ in Sandgate on the 6th July. Mark is well-known around the country for his stories in song and we look forward to playing alongside him and all the other special guests at Music By The Sea.
